The trouble with starting a crafting blog this time of year is you can not share all of the crafts you are working on because they are gifts for someone and you don't want them to see it before you give it to them.
After a busy week, I finally made it to the craft room on Thursday night. A friend wanted to give a birthday gift of a homemade sign to someone. The friend just wanted me to cut out the vinyl for the sign. She was going to paint the board and apply the vinyl to make the sign. I got to work on a design that included me finding an image on the web and tracing it and then editing it to be able to make the different colored layers in the design. I have not done this for a few months, so I enjoyed the challenge. I took it to work and gave it to her today. She seemed happy with it and sent me a picture of her completed sign a little bit ago. One project done this week.
The next project is also a secret one. I had another friend contact me to help make something. She sent me the supplies I needed and I made the item tonight. I will get it in the mail in the morning so she will get it right away. Top Secret though, so I can't share it either.
The last thing I worked on tonight was personalizing 45 stuffed animals. I am a preschool teacher by day. I have 4 different classes throughout the week with a total of 45 students. Finding a Christmas gift for 45 students and affordable can be a challenge. I went to Dollar Tree and bought the stuffed animals. I then cut out the students name in HTV. I used my heat press and applied the HTV. I think they turned out cute. I also made these last year, so some of the students will be getting their 2nd stuffed animal from me. I decided to use glitter HTV to make them different from last year.
It was an enjoyable couple of days!
