As usual, I did not spend as much time crafting today as I would have liked. Today was a day of finishing up projects. The first on the list was a Paper Pumpkin kit. Paper Pumpkin is a subscription monthly stamping kit from Stampin Up. I have subscribed to it for about a year now. I am afraid I have several kits that I have not done yet. They have all been opened. I open them right when I get them. It is so nice to receive happy mail every month. But then there are lesson plans to write, housework to do, and bills to pay, so the box gets set on the shelf.
Saturday night, I picked one of the Paper Pumpkin kits from the shelf. It happened to be the August kit. It was a card kit. Sometimes the kits are a decorative item and sometimes cards. You never know ahead of time. That is what makes it so fun to open the box. The August kit is called Bold Botanicals. It has 3 different cards and you make 3 of each card, for a total of 9 items. I made 3 thank you cards, 3 Hello cards and 3 gift card holders. Envelopes for the thank you and hello cards are included. The kit came with a mini stamp pad and a stamp set. They are the clear photo-polymer stamps that I love. You also get instructions on how to make the projects. It is fun to go online and see what other ideas people have come up with for the items. It is almost like those cooking shows where they give the contestants the same ingredients and they have to make a dish with it. Here is a picture of the items that I completed today, the instruction page and the stamp set. Click here if you would like to subscribe to Paper Pumpkin. It would make a great Christmas gift that lasts throughout the year.
Now, for the other craft project that I finished up today. I love using my Silhouette Cameo. I had a couple of custom orders for some cutting boards that I needed to finish up. I had cut the vinyl a week ago. Today I just needed to weed it and then apply it to the back of the cutting board. This is how it turned out.
I have made 4 of these for others. I really need to put something on my own glass cutting board. If you live near by and are interested in something like this, let me know. Sorry, I don't mail out these glass cutting boards. I am not that good of a packaging person!
