I have been busy in the craft room. I have not been making many cards, but I still have been busy.
The staff at Chase County Elementary School have been creating a monthly shirt that we wear on the same day. We decide on a theme and I either design it or buy the design off of Etsy. I then cut out all of the vinyl and we get together for an after school vinyl weeding party!! We know how to live it up!! I then take them home and use my heat press to apply the vinyl to their shirts.
We were not going to make one in January though. There is so much going that the month got away from us and we thought we would take a break. But then, the Kansas City Chiefs made it to the Super Bowl!!! We celebrated by wearing Chiefs clothing all week before the game. I am not a football fan, so I only had one Chiefs shirt and did not think I should wear it every day for week. Tuesday of that week was Tyreek Tuesday was cheetah print day. I didn't have a Chiefs shirt for the day or any cheetah print. I got on Etsy and found the perfect file. Here is the shirt I made for Tyreek Tuesday.
When people saw my shirt, several of them wanted one. I ended up making about a dozen of these shirts that week. Good think I try to keep extra shirts on hand!
We had a pep rally on Thursday of that week because our principal was going to the Super Bowl. She should the school her Super Bowl ticket. It was pretty cool! I knew I needed another Chiefs shirt for the pep rally, so I went to my vinyl stash and found some yellow I thought would work. Here is the shirt I made for the pep rally.
February rolled around and the staff started talking about another staff shirt. We wanted something that was a little Valentiney (is that a word? I guess it is now!) but not over the top with hearts and love. We wanted to be able to wear it throughout the year and not just the one day. We also had been talking about wanting a shirt about being kind. During lunch one day we looked on Pinterest and on Etsy and found a design we liked.
I decided that I would have the staff come to my house and we would weed the vinyl there and could heat press them right away so they could take them home that night. It didn't go quite like that, but some people did take them home with them. I did not have all of the vinyl cut, so the weeding took a little longer. We also let people have a choice of shirt color and vinyl color for the letters and the heart. This is how my shirt turned out.
When I was handing out shirts the next day, the custodian at the school asked where his shirt was. I told him I would get right on that and make him a shirt! So.....since I am sure custodians secretly love glitter, I made all of the letters on his shirt with glitter vinyl. It, of course, needed a lot of hearts on it too. I gave it to him and he really did wear it that day!!!

Guest select what cards they want to make and put together those kits. The guests pay a set amount per card and can make as many cards as they wish. We use a lot of snail adhesive. Sale-A-Bration time is a good time to stock up!
These 2 items, Thoughtful Blooms stamp set and coordinating Small Bloom Punch were free items from the Sale-A-Bration catalog. Thoughtful Blooms is a level 1 item, which means it is free with a $50 purchase. The Small Bloom Punch is a level 2 item, which means it is free with a $100 purchase. They can be found on pages 12 and 13 in the Sale-A-Bration catalog. I can't wait to make some cards with this set.
This paper pack will make some beautiful Valentine cards. There are 12 sheets of paper. 2 each of 6 double-sided designs. Some of the designs are shiny. The paper coordinates with a stamp set named Heartfelt and a 2 heart punches. They can be purchase separately or as a bundle, which will save you 10%. They are on page 9 of the spring mini catalog.
Another paper pack that caught my eye is Peaceful Poppies. I have seen many cards made with this paper online. I can't wait to find the time to use it. It has 2 different coordinating bundles. One is a stamp set called Painted Poppies and matching dies. The other bundle is called Peaceful Moments with more matching dies. They are on page 25 of the spring mini catalog.
I was super excited when I saw the bee paper. I can't wait to make cards for my friend Jessica to sell with her fresh honey. She goes to different craft fairs in this area with her honey, honey based products and my bee themed cards. She is great! This paper pack is called Golden Honey Specialty Paper. It is a level 1 Sale-A-Bration item. It can be found on page 10. I got this item free with a $50 purchase.
To go with that great paper, I purchased the Honey Bee Bundle. It has a stamp set called Honey Bee and dies called Detailed Bee Dies. I have pinned all kinds of cards on Pinterest using this set. This bundle is on page 30 of the spring mini catalog.
I decided I need to stock up on some paper. This pack is the Regals 6X6 Designers Series paper. It is so bright and cheery. I will make a lot of cards with this paper! This paper is on page 168 of the annual catalog.
Sale-A-Bration is a great time to stock up on card stock. I went through my stash and these were the colors I was running low on. I should be good to go on card stock for a little while. Now I am sure that I need some more stamp sets.
I can always use stamps that are sentiments. Sending You Thoughts had a great selection of sentiments. This is from the Sale-A-Bration catalog and was free with a $50 purchase.

I can't wait to get my new items and show you what I create with them. Right now, I am cleaning and purging my craft room. I worked on a lot of projects in November and December for other people. I had a narrow path to walk through the room. Today, the floor is mostly picked up, but I still have a lot of purging to do. I have not even begun on the closet.
Happy New Year and have a blessed 2020!
